Mistletoe and The Worm

Standard

My absolute, all-time favorite moment of the chrismas concert would have to be phil, attempting the worm (note: attempting) and falling flat on his face. Let me explain, our christmas concert was to the song of “Under the Mistletoe” by Justin Beiber. All the girls were trying to get the guys to dance with them “Under the Mistletoe”. There was alot of pressure on our shoulders, to make the dance perfect and entertaining. The routine was going great, we were turning at the right time, kicking in sync, and just plain having a great time and it was going to get even better. The boys solos were perfectly timed, first the sprinkler passed by, then the honkey-tonk, and when they finally reached the break dancing solo it happened. Alex did his move perfect, the one hand handstand but when phil went to do the worm he went down, up to high and onto his head….. and then flip! The whole crowd burst out laughing and the whole thing was so funny it was my most memorable moment of the concert. The best part of that moment though would have to be mrs.parrish got it all on video and put it on youtube for us to watch, over, and over, and over again.

Kacie and the Tree

Standard

Christmas time. So many traditions, events, and moments to share. The moment I decided to share was three years ago when we were taking down our tree. My little sister kacie loved anything and everything about christmas especially the tree since she was three at the time. We were taking the ornaments off the tree when kacie started crying and throwing a fit. We all left the tree and headed over to see if she was okay. She stopped crying by the time we got there so my mother asked what was the matter. All she said in reply was ” Leave the tree”. My mother just shook her head and began to take things off the tree again. We just got the same reaction over and over again. Eventually kacie won and we left the tree up longer. To me, Christmas is one of the funniest times of year.

My Thoughts Of Ryan…

Standard

Today we had a visit by kind Ms.Tetlock. We got to learn her story of her son Ryan. He was 21 and had over dosed on cocaine when he passed away. He had so much to see still, so much to do. I felt so sad, so sorry for his family and their loss. I know each and everyone of us was touched by his story and how his family overcame their grief.
