Character Analysis for Pierce Oliviera

( Abandon by Meg Cabot)

In the novel, “Abandon” by Meg Cabot the main character Peirce shows the character trait rash or daring. Peirce shows she is very rash in three different events in the book. The first is when her friend Hannah commits suicide and Peirce has a plan to figure out why she did it. As soon as she thought of the plan she just grabbed what she needed and ran straight into action, no help, no sorting out the details, no nothing. The second is when she got trapped in the underworld and wanted to get back to her family. Peirce threw hot tea in John’s face when he told her she was not allowed to leave and ran out the door that lead back into the real world. The final reason that prooves she is rash is when she accidentaly died and got stuck in the underworld. She saw a bird that looked stuck in her pool cover in the middle of the winter and decided to go and rescue it, she ran and tripped on her scarf going headfirst into the pool cover and freezing water and ended up drowning. Being rash in a crisis is definitely Peirce Oliviera and rash is definitely the trait that describes her.
